Frauke Franz, dramaturg
Frauke is German born and studied dramaturgy and contemporary literature
in Berlin. For many years she was the dramaturg for Primitive Science
in the UK, developing work for the Salzburg Festival. From 2003-2007,
she was the in-house dramaturg for Polka Theatre (London), developing
their new writing scheme, Playgrounding. Other work includes
Out/Exit (The Gate, Cardiff), Tony and Pat (Leikin Loppu,
national tour), Zam Zam Room (BAC), No, It Was You (Arcola
Theatre) and National Alien Office (Riverside Studios).
Guy Dartnell, performer, collaborator
Guy is a solo artist, a director, a teacher of voice-movement improvisation
as well as a long term collaborator with Improbable Theatre.
He has created four solo shows, one of which won a Time Out Live Award.
His work has toured all over the world, including the internationally
acclaimed Oogly Boogly, an improvised performance for and with
infants at the Melbourne International Festival. He is a BAC and Merlin
Theatre affiliated artist.
Martin Gent, designer, director
Martin originally trained as a structural engineer. He has worked extensively
as a performer at the West Yorkshire Playhouse, Nottingham Playhouse,
Leicester Haymarket and with Lumière & Son, dereck dereck productions,
The Glee Club, The David Gale Company and Louder than Words. He created
his own work as designer/performer with dA dA dUMB productions. He now
works as a conceptual artist/designer in the collaborative partnership
'mccormack & gent.' He has an MA in Art in Architecture and is a partner
in the MAP Consortium of Artists.
Sandra Harnisch-Lacey, choreographer
Sandra is German born and based in Cardiff. She trained at the Laban
Centre (London) and the Desmond Jones School of Mime and Physical Theatre
(London). From 2002-2007, she was artistic director of The Gate Theatre
(Cardiff). She has created four shows with her company HLDT as well as
two short dance films commissioned by Newport Film School and Welsh Independent
Dance. She represented Wales in their European Touring Initiative in 2004
and toured to Berlin, Vienna, Istres, Ljublijana, Luxembourg, Cardiff
and Montreal.
Camille Litalien, performer
Camille is Paris born and trained at the Martha Graham School of Contemporary
Dance (New York). She has worked with Matthew Hawkins, Claude Brumachon,
Igal Perry, Ramon Oller, Luc Tremblay, Salud Lopez, Kerry Nichols and
Michael Blake. London performances include The Skin Of Our Teeth
(David Lan, Young Vic Theatre), Gounod’s Faust (David McVicar
and Michael Keegan Dolan, The Royal Opera House) and Spring Awakening
(Yael Shavit, Jerwood Space). She has choreographed work for Les Ballets
de Loraine (Nancy, France) the Art Academy of Culture (Riga, Latvia) and
the ACT International Dance and Drama festival (Bilbao, Spain). She has
an MA in Scenography (Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design,
London) and is currently an Associate Lecturer in Dance at The Central
School of Speech and Drama (London).
Kate Houlden, producer
Kate has been company manager of internationally acclaimed live art company,
Lone Twin, since August 2004. As well as a freelance producer for out
of Inc, she works with Indian Runner Productions and Brian. She
has also worked as a Marketing Manager for the 2005 This Way Up Tour,
CandoCo Dance Company, Dende Collective and BAC, all in London.
Andrew Taylor, lighting designer
Andrew studied drama at Middlesex University and has been working in
theatre lighting ever since. During this time, Andrew has held resident
positions at major venues in London including The Royal Court and The
Old Vic where he has worked for and alongside some of the major directors
and designers in the UK. He has worked as a freelance lighting technician
and designer throughout the UK, France, Germany, Canada and Australia.
Dermot Rushe, art director, graphic designer
Dermot graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University in 1998 with
a Graphic Design and Art Direction degree. Since then he has worked on
various magazine titles for some of the leading publishing houses in London
such as IPC Media, The National Magazine Company, Haymarket Publishing,
SPL Publishing as well as for The Guardian and The Observer.
As a freelance designer, Dermot has designed book covers, album sleeves,
music, theatre and dance flyers. Contact:
